What’s an IBAC?!
The IBAC is the Initial Behavioral Assessment and Consultation, and is the gateway to working with PackFit in any capacity.
It’s approximately 2 - 2.5 hours in duration, is incredibly comprehensive, and is the most essential piece of our entire process.
Behavioral IBAC’s are conducted with folks all over the globe.
Behavior is information.
It’s a response.
A manner of expression.
A form of feedback.
It’s also quite complex in nature. Several ingredients contributing to, influencing, and impacting it.
Because of this, a holistic, “no-stone-unturned” approach must be taken in order to address it effectively.
…and this starts with the IBAC.
It goes a little something like this...
Step 1
Purchase an IBAC session for the appropriate number of dogs in your household, and you’ll be contacted within 24 hours to set up a date and time
IBAC’s are conducted in the late morning and early afternoon hours any day of the week.
Step 2
Keep your eyes peeled for a confirmation email the day prior to session. You’ll also be provided with Notes Pages for the appointment (although a detailed recap is sent afterwards, we always recommend note-taking. Makes all the information more “sticky-on-the-brain”).
We will need a response to confirm the appointment and make sure we're still a go!
Step 3
Hip-hip-hooray, the day is here! We conduct your IBAC.
Step 4
Receive your IBAC recap within 48 hours along with training recommendations and the proposed way forward.
And, last but not least, let us know how you wish to move forward!

All IBAC’s are conducted virtually. We do not need to trigger or see a behavior in order to understand what’s underlying and driving it.
Please be assured, we’d never suggest or conduct anything we weren’t 100% certain was effective. We still see everything we need to see, hear everything we need to hear, and are able to share everything we need to share. Because we specialize in behavior, we know exactly what to ask, what to pinpoint, and what to extract from any given situation in order to formulate the most beneficial and effective plan for you and your dog. We’ve been conducting virtual IBAC’s and trainings with people all over the globe since PackFit’s inception many years ago, although this did kick into higher gear as of 2020.
Once the IBAC is conducted and if a training agreement is entered into, we transition to in-person training (if local). In order to keep ourselves, our loved ones, clients, etc. healthy and safe, every in-person training requires a reviewed and signed COVID-19 consent form.
