Dog developing.

What most know as "dog training", we know as "dog developing".

"Training" a dog has more to do with the mental body of the dog. Subscribing meaning to verbal cues and directives, and more performance-based and task-oriented activities (e.g. detection, search and rescue, agility, protection, etc.).

"Developing" a dog is a whole picture, whole scenario, whole dog ordeal. Not just teaching a dog "what to do", but also how to *be*... and everything in between.

In developing a dog, yes- training the brain and helping connect dots between verbal cue and action is included; but "compliance" to these cues is actually connected to much different things that need to be spoken to. We're also conditioning the mind, developing their self and world concept, exposing and creating associations, nurturing relationships, working on impulse control and self-regulation, helping them through any traumas and/or insecurities (redefining, reframing, repatterning...healing), teaching social etiquette and respectful space sharing, and more.

The great majority of our clients have already been through training, yet still struggle with their dog's behavior. *This is why*.

It's not enough to train our dogs... we've got to develop them.
